Dr. Chandrakant Gaonker

Founder & Senior Ophthalmologist

Senior Ophthalmologist | Cataract, Refractive, Squint & Paediatric Ophthalmology Specialist Dr. Chandrakant Gaonkar is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 40 years of experience, serving Goa since the mid-1980s. A graduate of Bombay University, he is one of the region’s earliest pioneers in phacoemulsification cataract surgery. He has performed over 15,000 cataract and refractive surgeries, including phacoemulsification, LASIK, glaucoma procedures, and squint correction. A former Associate Professor with years of teaching experience, Dr. Gaonkar is respected for his clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-focused care. He continues to lead advancements in cataract, refractive surgery, squint, and paediatric ophthalmology.

Dr. Madhavi Gaonker

Senior Ophthalmologist

Consultant Ophthalmologist | Retina, Cataract & Refractive Surgeon Dr. Madhavi is a senior ophthalmologist with extensive experience in medical retina, complex cataract surgery, and corneal & refractive treatments. A graduate of Bombay University, she has undergone advanced fellowships in Medical Retina from leading institutes in Mumbai and Pune, where she trained in the diagnosis and management of intricate retinal disorders. With a strong clinical background spanning over two decades, Dr. Madhavi has performed more than 15,000 cataract and refractive surgeries, including premium IOL implantation, retinal laser procedures, and LASIK. She is particularly known for her expertise in retinal vascular diseases, diabetic retinopathy, macular disorders, and retina-laser therapies.

Her expertise spans a wide range of specialties including: Oculoplasty & Facial Aesthetics Ocular Oncology Advanced Cataract Surgery with Premium IOLs Paediatric Ophthalmology & Squint Cornea & Refractive (LASIK, ICL) Retinal Laser Treatments Glaucoma (medical & surgical) Dr. Tanvi is known for providing personalized and modern ophthalmic care, offering comprehensive solutions for complex eye conditions and aesthetic needs.

Our eye hospital was established in Margao, Goa, as one of the region's first dedicated day-care eye centres, setting new standards in quality eye care.
